I’m a Staff Product Designer based in Minnesota with experience designing a wide range of digital products, including web software, AI tools, e-commerce sites, mobile applications, and brochure websites. I pride myself on being helpful, easy to work with, fast, and effective.

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my wife, daughter, and dog Kirby. I love getting outside and playing golf. I’ve travelled to play 16 of the top 100 public courses and built my own golf simulator in my garage. I enjoy cooking (grilling or firing up my pizza oven), trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Design and code

I prototype in code and ship my own pull requests, so ideas get tested in working software. AI tools get me from idea to production fast, and experience tells me where to slow down and polish.

Ten years at a software agency taught me to own projects end to end: working directly with clients, managing scope and budgets, and delivering on fast timelines.

Milestone

Milestone manufactures TV & projector mounts and projector screens (Chief, Sanus & Da-Lite brands). I conducted user research & designed branded sites for them and their partners including Best Buy, Dell, and Sony.

Early Career

I worked as a User Experience Design Intern for Techies.com, an early job search startup. Then I designed websites for the University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts, which required user-testing focused on web accessibility.
